It all started when she was 15 years old and found out she was accepted to Orange-Ulster CTEC where she would get to spend half of her high school day learning hands-on experience in their Fashion and Interior Design Program. Her love for creativity and design was born and there was no going back.
Ashlyn went on to graduate from Albright College with a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising. While in school, she jumped on every opportunity that came her way. She shadowed active wear buyers in NYC, volunteered as a dresser in fashion shows, networked with industry professionals, co-wrote an article that was published in the Fashion Lion, and interned at GK Elite Sportswear where she later saw some of her work on display during the 2016 Olympics. The more she immersed herself in different experiences, the happier she was.
Fast forward to present day - she is still exploring opportunities and different niches within the fashion industry. She is currently working full-time as a senior operations manager in luxury retail and freelancing as a content creator for a variety of social media platforms. Highlights include: opening new stores across the country, building out corporate communications and audit programs for 150+ stores across North America, and launching new career growth programs with a focus on professional development; allowing her team members to promote into higher level roles.
In her (rare) free time, you'll also catch Ashlyn running around in the background of movie sets and styling lead characters. She has now been cast as an actress in over 30 different films, television shows, and commercials - her most notable being "Skipping Stones" directed by S.J. Creazzo. You can catch these appearances on all the major streamers: Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, and Peacock. Ashlyn has also recently established herself in the world of wardrobe as a Key Costumer/Wardrobe Supervisor with 5 credits under her belt. On “Skipping Stones,” not only did she have the supporting role of Becky, she also single-handedly lead the wardrobe department for 15 characters. Prior to that, she styled and took the still photography for an upcoming indie trilogy series called "Hollow." She hopes to one day join the unions for both sides of the film industry (currently SAG-e / applying for a local IATSE) and style movie sets regularly. What doesn't this girl do?
